In this study we evaluated the purposes behind inclination of this brand dependent on built up boundaries of promoting blend (the 4 Ps). The target of this investigation was to gauge the degree of inclination of these boundaries. For this reason a survey was created and regulated to 240 respondents. The other theory that in any event one of the indicator factors would have a direct relationship with the needy variable brand notoriety was acknowledged. In spite of the fact that the showcasing blend idea, for example, item, value, spot and advancement are significant in breaking down the promoting technique, the extent of the examination was predominantly MARKET FORCES APRIL-2008 15 MARKETING MIX BRAND RESEARCH concentrated on one part of brand value I. e. brand notoriety, a definitive impression of the right mix of all showcasing blend. 1. 1. 0 LITERATURE SURVEY 1. 1. 0 Brand Branding has an old history. It could be followed back to the occasions when the antiquated Egypt block producers used to stepped images on the blocks for distinguishing proof and qualification purposes (Farghuhar 1990). Nilson (1998) then again found that antiquated ranchers used to put images on the steers with the assistance of hot iron, which implied consuming. The word brand has been gotten from the Scandinavian word ââ¬Å"brannaâ⬠that way to consume. In Swedish language the word ââ¬Å"brandâ⬠, implies fire. In this way when a maker put a few imprints or images on their item it will come in the classification of marking (Nilson 1998). One of the benefits of solid brand name is that its aides in infiltrating in another market or another market classification. Globalization has made gigantic brand mindfulness and this mindfulness isn't reliant on the accessibility of the items. Czinkota Ronkainen 2001). For instance in Pakistan, brands, for example, for example, McDonald, Pizza Hut and KFC had solid mindfulness even before they opened their establishments in Pakistan. 1. 2. 0 Brand Equity Brand value is a connection among clients and brands bringing about a benefit to be acknowledged sometime not too far off (Wood 2000). Kotler and Armstrong (1996) were of the supposition that estimating brand value is a dreary activity. All things considered an incredible brand implies high brand value that helps in accomplishing ââ¬Ëhigher brand devotion, name mindfulness, saw quality, and solid brand associationsââ¬â¢. A portion of the significant advantages of brand value are brand mindfulness and customer dedication which helps in diminishing promoting costs. Brand is a significant value; hence, it ought to be deliberately protected by embracing procedures that would help in keeping up or improving brand mindfulness, saw brand quality and positive affiliations. (Kotler Armstrong 1996) Ambler and Styles (1997) are of the supposition that brand value could be estimated from two points of view. One is ââ¬Å"financial assessment approachâ⬠and the other is ââ¬Å"consumer-based approachâ⬠. The money related assessment approach is identified with the fiscal estimation of the brand, and the customer put together methodology centers with respect to the brand itself that is how much worth the shoppers provide for the brand. Brand value is likewise considered as a collected benefit that could be acknowledged sometime not too far off. The brand value idea can likewise create turmoil, as a result of trouble in estimating it (Ambler Styles 1997). MARKET FORCES APRIL-2008 16 MARKETING MIX BRAND RESEARCH Importance of brand value requests requirement for increasingly reasonable experience and relative examination to pass judgment and approve the handiness of brand assessment strategies (Farquhar 1990). The ongoing merger and securing pattern has additionally expanded the significance of estimating brand value (Tauber 1988). The job of brands is currently a long ways past item separation or going after piece of the pie. They are amassed annuities which the firm can secure from its accounting report (Tauber 1998). Firms could have a solid serious edge over contenders in the event that they could make brand value ââ¬Ëthrough building mindfulness, picture, and connecting associationsââ¬â¢ (Keller 1998). A more grounded brand would consistently have a superior comprehension of requirements, needs, and inclinations of buyers than the brands that are not serious. Consequently more grounded brands would help in making viable advertising programs that could go past shopper desires. (Keller 1998). Brand value since most recent multi decade has stayed well known for pulling in new market fragments (Pitta Katsanis, 1995). This marvel of brand value has corresponded with the recently risen yet similarly well known wonder of brand augmentation (Ambler Styles 1997). Examination shows a two path connection between brand value and expansion. A brandââ¬â¢s value could impact the achievement of expansions, and augmentations could decidedly impact brandââ¬â¢s value. The outcome is that profoundly esteemed brand augmentations are progressively fruitful. Buyers will in general pick those brands that have solid brand value. This makes solid brand faithfulness, and would make it hard for the clients to change to the contenders. Brand position of a firm is emphatically reliant on the positive picture of brands. Solid brands are a significant wellspring of separation and broadening the equivalent towards a particular item classification is simpler. You read Showcasing Mix and the Brand Reputation of Nokia in classification Papers Successful brand permits firms to request significant expenses and are a wellspring of obstruction which makes it hard for buyers to change to different brands (Pitta Katsanis 1995. 1. 3. 0 BRAND REPUTATION: According to Aaker (1991, 1996) and Kapferer (1997) the two organizations and buyers are vigilant over the brand notoriety of what they sell or purchase. Each brand speaks to particular qualities, makes an unmistakable pr ofile in the brains of the clients in regard to a big motivator for it. For instance in refreshment industry Coca-cola represents ââ¬Å"refreshingâ⬠and in vehicle industry Volvo brand is seen for ââ¬Å"safety and comfortâ⬠. Likewise in the versatile business Sony Ericsson is ready as ââ¬Å"music and entertainmentâ⬠and so on. Globalization and trend setting innovation have made the market progressively serious, in this manner firms, presently, are more brand touchy. They have seen that the purchaser inclinations have become homogenous on account of globalization and the spread of innovation. In this way, both the dealers MARKET FORCES APRIL-2008 17 MARKETING MIX BRAND RESEARCH and purchasers are focusing on the brand notoriety regarding what they are purchasing and selling. A customer during his lifetime experiences a progression of regularly changing conditions and circumstances. Therefore his image inclination shifts with his evolving needs. The brand properties or highlights must fit to consumersââ¬â¢ need to keep up a progressing perpetual relationship with the brand. The buyers need to have a trust in their favored brands for kept contribution of the ideal advantages. As indicated by Browne (1998), if organizations neglect to guarantee a reliable, stable brand notoriety, the brandââ¬â¢s development and piece of the pie will be influenced. Along these lines a brand notoriety is the picture of predominant quality and included worth, which legitimize a top notch cost. A respectable brand is a solid resource, which profits by a serious extent of faithfulness and steadiness for future deals (Kapferer 1997). Extreme objectives of exceptionally rumored brands ought to be to fortify their picture. Low selling brands with low notoriety should concentrate on fitting their advertising blend and fixing the general picture issue (Baldinger Rubinson 1996). Firms managing versatile handset are additionally worried about the notoriety of their brands, and how this would influence their universal piece of the pie. Rivalry among the versatile organizations has constrained them to make a brand notoriety in customersââ¬â¢ minds. The cell phone industry is involved generally multinationals and has money related points of interest in their cost structure. This preferred position isn't accessible to their simply local partners (Kapferer, 1997). Brand notoriety in the cell phone industry is getting critical for consumersââ¬â¢ buying practices. Fleeting and Lee (2001) contend that ground-breaking brands are the ones that are based on notoriety and this won't change, yet would acquire significance later on. Up Shaw (1995), concurs and asserts that marking is the specialty of trust creation and in this manner it is basic for organizations to manufacture a respectable character so as to keep up

The stock market of todayââ¬â¢s society Essays
The securities exchange of todayââ¬â¢s society Essays The securities exchange of todayââ¬â¢s society Essay The securities exchange of todayââ¬â¢s society Essay The securities exchange of todayââ¬â¢s society has transformed into a quick paced digitalized arrangement of exchanges between a portion of the worldââ¬â¢s wealthiest influence brokers.â In request to completely analyze the usefulness of the financial exchange and how the sum of the framework functions, an exhaustive assessment of how the securities exchange functions is significant having a general comprehension of speculation and stock determination. A stock is characterized by Charles Schwab, a main stock business firm, as ââ¬Å"an instrument that connotes a proprietorship position (called value) in an organization, and speaks to a case on its relative offer in the partnerships resources and profitsâ⬠(Charles Schwab, npg).â In fundamental terms, a stock is a case of possession on a corporation.â However numerous offers a specific individual has of an organization decides how much responsibility for in general organization this individual possesses.â If an individual hold fifty portions of an organization that has one thousand complete offers, the individual in question has five percent responsibility for whole company.â Just as stocks are cases to proprietorship, the securities exchange is the commercial center where investors can exchange, sell, and purchase each otherââ¬â¢s responsibility for This commercial center works a lot of like any grocery store, where people will utilize cash or their own stocks to ex change for ones from others (Smith 103).â This commonly advantageous commercial center is the establishment of the stock framework. Stocks nonetheless, shift between a wide range of types.â Not all stocks can be bought by anybody at any given time.â The most significant characterization of stocks is ââ¬Å"common stockâ⬠and ââ¬Å"preferred stockâ⬠.â Most portions of stocks are called ââ¬Å"common sharesâ⬠in light of the fact that these are the offers that are generally accessible inside the stock market.â Common stock entitles the proprietor certain benefits and control over the organization since it speaks to incomplete responsibility for company.â This implies normal offers permit the proprietor the option to cast a ballot in numerous corporate issues, and they likewise get votes to choose the companyââ¬â¢s leading body of directors.â They additionally get the capacity of ââ¬Å"preemptive rightsâ⬠which permits them to by stocks upon a split of the stock to keep up the corresponding responsibility for enterprise that they kept up before progressively stock was given (Sinc ere 120).â The principle favorable position of the regular stock is the force presented upon the proprietor of the stock.â But it has the downside that basic offers are the last offers that gets profits, and it likewise is the offers to get repaid if there should be an occurrence of an insolvency inside the organization. Favored stock conversely doesn't present close to as much democratic capacity to the proprietor of the stock yet offers considerably more security.â Preferred stocks are the first to get profits and the first to get installments in the event that there is a liquidation (Faerber 54).â Therefore they ensure the proprietor an okay speculation yet do not have the possession control estimation of normal shares.â Both of these two stocks have their individual disadvantages yet each additionally has their preferences. The administration and venture of stocks is a very unsafe business, where ordinarily stable speculations could transform into insolvency applicants in a matter of days.â The threat presented by stocks is that they are incredibly unstable to the effects of open opinion.â Therefore when settling on stock venture choices can commonly transform into a roulette wheel as opposed to sound investments.â A model is the disaster encompassing the breakdown of Enron in late 2001.â Enron, one of the countryââ¬â¢s greatest vitality makers fallen and petitioned for financial protection in late 2001, and its stock plunged from blue chip an incentive to practically useless surprisingly fast (Fisher 151).â People who put intensely into Enron due to its security before long discovered that its budgetary blunderings had made their view of the organization change and that prompted the quick crash of Enron stock.â Enron is a superb case of how stocks can change from blue chip, strong specul ation stock, to worthless.â Therefore a hazard consistently exists when putting resources into stocks, even those that are seen to be blamelessly strong stocks. Another unsafe technique for stock venture includes putting resources into high hazard stocks.â When putting resources into organizations that are simply beginning its turn of events or doesn't have a recognizable item available, the chance of losing the put away cash is consistently present.â One model is the ascent and fall of Orion Enterprises.â This partnership rose over 300% throughout about fourteen days during 2004 as a result of the promotion encompassing its improvement of another medication that would influence the recuperation of patients after chemotherapy (Smith 21).â However, in the wake of its dismissal from FDA endorsement, the stock hence plunged to almost the zero dollar mark and caused the liquidation of the company (Smith 23).â The breakdown of Orion is a case of how stocks can be incredibly hazardous to buy and exchange due to the surprising variance of open observation. Notwithstanding, interest in stocks can likewise yield enormous rewards.â Stocks speak to proprietorship in partnerships, and when companies change from an incredibly little activity to a worldwide and multibillion dollar endeavor, and afterward the first speculators are the ones who advantage the most.â Given the case of Microsoft, which expanded its stock worth such a great amount from 1986 to 1998, that an underlying venture of ten thousand dollars in 1986 would have yielded an arrival of more than 6,000,000 dollars in 1998 (Siegel 15)?â This move in the rate at which stocks can become moment workers is another case of how ground-breaking the securities exchange is, and the prizes that one could remove from making shrewd investments.â Another case of a prize got from stock speculation is venture into high hazard markets.â Stocks particularly inside the innovation area are profoundly unpredictable, yet now and again they can return very high benefit in a short measure of time.â The progress of google.com from being a low yield stock to one of the most predictable and most solid stocks available today happened in under three years.â This fills in for instance of how savvy speculation choices could really return amazingly great overall revenues. Albeit high hazard stocks can make superb returns, generally safe stocks can likewise yield fantastic money related prizes given a legitimate measure of time.â Although the normal discernment that blue chip stocks are incredible workers have been engraved on current financial specialists, the truth is very different.â Some blue chip stocks, for example, Cisco, has seen a consistent increment on venture of 8% through the span of the previous six years.â Which implies that for a decently okay speculation, an investor may expect an agreeable yearly profit of 8% for their investment?â Another case of an okay and center ground speculation is in quality client support or eatery organizations, for example, McDonaldââ¬â¢s, which has reliably been on the ascent since it opened available (Siegel 15).â Because these enterprises rely upon an a lot bigger market than other littler organizations, they present a consistent and predictable long haul investment.â Overall the upside of having generally safe stocks is that they are amazingly simple to distinguish and they present steady returns instead of unpredictable ones.â They are additionally long haul speculations and in this way require substantially less supervision.â However, it in particular makes significantly less benefit than high hazard stocks since it has just approached its top being developed and therefore does not have the capacity to extend rapidly in light of its relative present size. Thusly a wise stock speculator would have a portfolio that accomplishes a hazard unbiased way to deal with venture that has an equalization of both high hazard and generally safe stocks.â Such a portfolio exploits the steadiness conceded by blue chip stocks to subsidize the cash of increasingly hazardous endeavors that could either return extraordinary benefits or losses.â The net advantage of enhancement of the portfolio is that it takes into account the dispersal of hazard inside the stock portfolio.â Overall having such a reasonable stock proprietorship will allow the investor to have more control of his money related circumstance to maintain a strategic distance from incredible misfortunes in the securities exchange.

How the Need to Belong Influences Human Behavior
How the Need to Belong Influences Human Behavior Theories Social Psychology Print How the Need to Belong Influences Human Behavior and Motivation People need personal connections to feel accepted and supported By Kendra Cherry facebook twitter Kendra Cherry, MS, is an author, educational consultant, and speaker focused on helping students learn about psychology. Learn about our editorial policy Kendra Cherry Updated on October 06, 2019 Jade / Getty Images More in Theories Social Psychology Behavioral Psychology Cognitive Psychology Developmental Psychology Personality Psychology Biological Psychology Psychosocial Psychology The need to belong, also often referred to as belongingness, refers to a human emotional need to affiliate with and be accepted by members of a group. This may include the need to belong to a peer group at school, to be accepted by co-workers, to be part of an athletic team, and to be part of a church group. The need to belong involves more than simply being acquainted with other people. It is instead centered on gaining acceptance, attention, and support from members of the group as well as providing the same attention to other members. How the Need to Belong Influences Behavior In social psychology, the need to belong is an intrinsic motivation to affiliate with others and be socially accepted. This need plays a role in a number of social phenomena such as self-presentation and social comparison. The need to belong to a group also can lead to changes in behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes as people strive to conform to the standards and norms of the group. For example, people often present themselves in a particular way in order to belong to a specific social group. For example, a new member of the high school football team might adopt the dress and mannerisms of the other members of the team in order to fit in with the rest of the group. People will also spend a great deal of time comparing themselves to other members of the group in order to determine how well they fit in. This social comparison might lead an individual to adopt some of the same behaviors and attitudes of the most prominent members of the group in order to conform and gain greater acceptance. So what inspires people to seek out specific groups? In many cases, the need to belong to certain social groups results from sharing some point of commonality. For example, teens who share the same taste in clothing, music and other interests might seek each other out to form friendships. In other instances, factors such as shared goals, socioeconomic status, religious beliefs, political beliefs, and pop culture interests can lead individuals to seek out groups that share these interests. Why the Need to Belong Is an Important Motivator Our need to belong is what drives us to seek out stable, long-lasting relationships with other people. It also motivates us to participate in social activities such as clubs, sports teams, religious groups, and community organizations. By belonging to a group, we feel as if we are a part of something bigger and more important than ourselves. In Abraham Maslows hierarchy of needs, belongingness is part of one of his major needs that motivate human behavior. The hierarchy is usually portrayed as a pyramid, with more basic needs at the base and more complex needs near the peak. The need for love and belonging lie at the center of the pyramid as part of the social needs. While Maslow suggested that these needs were less important than the physiological and safety needs, he believed that the need for belonging helped people to experience companionship and acceptance through family, friends, and other relationships.

Before It All Goes Wrong Thematic Analysis of Shooter - Literature Essay Samples
One boy. One gun. That was all it took for the tragic events of April twenty- second. Author Walter Dean Myers explains all of the details leading up to the shooting incident in the novel Shooter. The story is made from mostly interviews with teenagers Cameron and Carla. Their former friend, Leonard (Len) Gray, shot and killed student Brad Williams (Lenââ¬â¢s school bully) and later himself. The dramatic story teaches readers that they should say something about their feelings they feel strongly about before itââ¬â¢s too late. From the start of the story, Cameron knew Len was different. When Cameron didnââ¬â¢t make the basketball tryouts, he hung his head down as he walked home. Len sensed how he felt, and walked home with him, teasing him all the way and making Cameron smile. ââ¬Å"He kidded me a lot, but he had a way of almost putting you down but smiling as he did itâ⬠(16). Cameron wasnââ¬â¢t sure if Len was joking or not though when he asked him to vandalize a church. ââ¬Å"I didnââ¬â¢t think it was going to matter much, so I went in with himâ⬠¦ I didnââ¬â¢t feel good about it, but I got through itâ⬠(27-28). This was one of the first encounters of Cameron not protesting against Len. He stayed mute, and as a result gave Len the wrong idea of how he felt. Len had a misunderstanding about Cameronââ¬â¢s opinions on the church vandalizing since Cameron was too scared to say anything. However, there are many more controversial events coming up in the story. When Len lead Cameron to a place he liked to spend time at, the shooting range, Cameron felt uncomfortable immediately. He didnââ¬â¢t feel too well holding a weapon that powerful in his hands, but still went with Len regularly. One day however, the men there thought it would be funny to shoot down a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. ââ¬Å" I didnââ¬â¢t like itâ⬠¦ Maybe because I knew I was putting me being black on the sideline. Only I really couldnââ¬â¢t, you know (My father) said thatââ¬â¢s how business was done. He said people test you to see if you can stay focused on businessâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ (24-25). This passage shows that society is very biased. You want to fit in with what everyone else is doing. Most people donââ¬â¢t have the courage to stand out, but if you do, (just like Martin Luther King Jr.) it can really make a difference in your or someone elseââ¬â¢s life. The more quiet Cameron stayed, the more serious the events became. Lenââ¬â¢s other friend , Carla, decided to go to the shooting range with Cameron and Len one day. Cameron and Carla had no idea what Len had set up for them, but Len seemed very excited. They shot down some suspicious bags Len had set up, and realized later that they killed living turtles. Carla immediately got into a rage and left. Cameronââ¬â¢s unsettled feelings about what Len found ââ¬Å"funâ⬠started to grow. Cameron had numerous thoughts running through his head, but again kept his own opinions. Little did he know what Len would do later on. Cameron knew that he didnââ¬â¢t feel too pleasant holding a gun in the first place, but killing lives? This was taken to a whole new level. If Cameron had said something right there at the shooting range, it could have taken Lenââ¬â¢s life to a whole new direction. Cameron had a really big influence on Len, and just saying something about his thoughts could impact his life. The days passed by, and soon April twenty second came around the corner. Cameron had just walked into school early (at the request of Len), and noticed Len with a duffel bag. After some brief conversation, Cameron spots a gun and a lot of ammo. ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s when I started panicking. I asked him what the rifle was for, and he said to hold off people until he had painted enough signs. I was still freaking outâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ (135). Len even jokingly cocks the gun at Cameron, before handing him a gun too. Cameron, still dazed by everything happening, spots Carla in the school. Cameron finally realizes how serious this is becoming. He drags Carla to the side and tells her that she has to leave- NOW. Len spots them trying to escape and shoots at them. Cameron felt a surge of emotions coming in. Was it betrayal? Was it pittiness? Len had been one of his only friends for years now, and all this time Cameron had thought he understood Len. From all the unsettling feelings heââ¬â¢s fe lt in his heart, this was the absolute worst. Cameron realized what he should have done all these years now. From years of hiding, he pulls down the fire alarm. The police start coming, and itââ¬â¢s all going to end soon. Cameron has been hiding from his fears of speaking his opinions for years now. At his final chance to stand up against Len, he finally does what is right. Even though Cameron is still in deep trouble, he does do an act that will save lives by pulling down that alarm. Everyone has a moment where they donââ¬â¢t do what they know is right. They hide, just like Cameron did from Len. However, realizing and fixing your mistakes before itââ¬â¢s too late can change lives.

King Arthur The Man Behind The Name Essay - 999 Words
King Arthur: The Man Behind The Name King Arthur is a figure surrounded by an aura of myth and mystery. His name evokes visions of knights and gallantry in a bygone era of chivalry and magic. Clear the mist around the myth, however, and the character revealed is a man with flaws like any other. He is human as well as heroic. Arthur has assembled the greatest court of knights in British history, but his own condition and relation to those knights leads to the downfall of his court. Although Arthur and his court are held in highest esteem, time and again he is put into positions where the reader must question just how noble things are in Camelot. King Arthur: Sir Gawain The Green Knight In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦He makes Arthur promise to keep their meeting and the quest a secret. Arthur immediately breaks his word by telling Sir Gawain. Although our modern notions of chivalry might make us presume that the greatest medieval king would know what it is that women love best, Arthur obviously feels that he does not know. He not only enlists Sir Gawains help in seeking the answer, he allows Gawain to wed Dame Ragnelle in order to procure that answer and save his own life. Arthur is shown to be utterly human in this tale. He begs for his life, goes back on his word, and once again allows his nephew Gawain to carry his burden. King Arthur: Morte Darthur The Morte Darthur reveals yet more of Arthurs humanity and his heroism. His love for his queen, Guinevere, is not quite the chivalrous relationship that it seems. He dreads the confrontation with Lancelot over Lancelots affair with Guinevere and laments much more I am sorrier for my good knights loss than for the loss of my fair queen; for queens I might have enough, but such a fellowship of good knights shall never be together in no company. His true love is for his knights and their fellowship. He holds his kingship and love of his court over any personal love that he may have. Finance Management Mines have their finance subdivision and they process the financial dealings and communication independently. The operational resource of the company comes from the returns it earns by promotion the gold to the clients and merchants. EMP plans to apply the capital competently in all activities and process generation. The company has spread their operation in five countries and from the amount of sell in those countries are the prime revenue generations for the country. Finance department is liable for all the expenditure that related to supporting activities that are needed for the business establishment. It also liable for the cost proceeding and managing the terms of expenditure where as marketing department of the organization takes care about the promotional issue and provides sales and support to the organization (Giacalone and Rosenfeld 2013). All the four departments are critical for any trade association however for the development of the business in this competitive market enhancement financial and marketing department is needed. Integrated Reporting Accounting Information System
Question: Discuss about the Integrated Reporting for Accounting Information System. Answer: The purpose of the report is to highlight the meaning of the integrated reporting and its use and benefits in the accounting field. Moreover, the types of services that will be offered by implementing this integrated reporting system will be highlighted along with the skills an employee should adopt and training that is provided to the employee for attaining the usage of this newly implemented system within the workplace for a better business outcome. Discussing the accounting practice that considers the integrated reporting policies in the concerned business is also the purpose of the report. Audience for the Report The major audiences of the report are the employee of the organization and other members like lawyers and non-accountants specialists as well as the accountant partners. The prime reason for selecting these audiences is to take the opinion on benefits of integrated reporting from the members who supports this new technology and make other aware of the positive outcome in the business by using the concept of integrated reporting to those who are not in favor of the implementation of this modern technology. The audiences for a complete performance report are the external stakeholders who may get knowledge regarding their progress report on financial benefits and sustainability. Key decisions to be made Integrated reporting is an approach through which an organization provides the information about their performance and the procedure in which they create value, strategy, opportunities and risks. Thus, the key decision that is made is to hold a board meeting and the benefits of the implementation of the integrated reporting will be discussed. It is evident that the implementation of this new service is expensive but it will surely provide a competitive advantage. Barker and Kasim (2016) also depicts that investors conventionally have depended on growing patchwork of supplementary reporting systems in order to evaluate the risk and the sustainability factors of their business. People in accounting firms also have to prepare a report for accomplishing the management discussion and its analysis (Busco et al. 2013). Abeysekera (2013) furthermore highlights that the management also has to face problem in the past when they try to make decisions based on financial information. Moreover, in context with the sustainability reporting, it is noted from The Guardian that, companies that spend $50 million on their annual report does not contain any relevant information on the companys detail by important shareholders. Thus, the technology of integrated reporting helps these company to prepare their performance report in lesser cost that $50 million (the Guardian 2016). Information that help to take these decisions Cheng et al. (2014) states that some of the benefits of the integrated reporting is that it helps the policy makers, regulators, standard setters, and accountants to plan their performance in short-terms goals and provide other stakeholders an accurate information regarding their approaches for resource allocation, risk management procedures and identification of the opportunities. It is seen from the case study that partner like Steven Wong opposes the introduction of integrated reporting within the organization as it will be expensive. Thus, it has become a necessity to make them aware of the benefits that they will get by using modern technology. Moreover, this technology is new and many of them are unsure about the use of this system, training must have to be provided to others so that they can utilize this system effectively. Moreover, as mentioned in the website of integrated reporting, the system helps in improving the quality of the information, promotes a cohesive and efficient approach on different reporting strands and enhances the accountability and stewardship along with their interdependencies (integratedreporting.org 2016). Stubbs and Higgins (2014) also depict that it provide insight into the organizations strategy and boosts the relationship with the key stakeholders. This report not only provides the advantageous outcome of the organization but also highlight the negative aspects they have faced and their approaches to mitigate the pitfalls. This help to take the decision for implementing the technology of integrated reporting within the organization. Information sources likely to hold this information Previous research done by academic experts is taken into consideration along with some important blogs and website that contains relevant information regarding the uses and benefits of integrated information. International newspaper article like from The Guardian is also taken into c0nsidereation for attaining required information on the concept of integrated reporting. Some of the keywords that are used while searching from the relevant information are- "Integrated reporting, Integrated reporting in Accounting, Benefits of Integrated Reporting, Skills required in integrated reporting and Training in integrated reporting. The Horse Problem Math Challenge
The Horse Problem Math Challenge The highly prized skills that employers look for today are problem-solving, reasoning and decision making, and logical approaches to challenges. Fortunately, mathematics challenges are the perfect way to hone your skills in these areas, especially when you challenge yourself to a new Problem of the Week each week like this classic listed below, The Horse Problem. Though they may seem simple at first, problems of the week from such sites as MathCounts and Math Forumà challenge mathematicians to deductively reason the best approach to solving these word problems correctly, but oftentimes, phrasing is meant to trip up the challenge-taker, but careful reasoning and a good process for solving the equation will help ensure you answer questions like these correctly. Teachers should guide students toward a solution to problems like The Horse Problem by encouraging them to devise methods for solving the puzzle, which might include drawing graphs or charts or using a variety of formulas to determine missing number values. The Horse Problem: A Sequential Math Challenge The following math challenge is a classic example of one of these problems of the week. In this case, the question poses a sequential math challenge in which the mathematician is expected to calculate the final net result of a series of transactions. The situation: A man buys a horse for 50 dollars. Decides he wants to sell his horse later and gets 60 dollars. He then decides to buy it back again and paid 70 dollars. However, he could no longer keep it and he sold it for 80 dollars. The questions: Did he make money, lose money, or break-even? Why?The answer:à The man ultimately saw a net profit of 20 dollars; whether you use a number line or a debit and credit approach, the answer should always amount to the same. Guiding Students to the Solution When presenting problems like this one to students or individuals, let them devise a plan for solving it, because some students will need to act out the problem while others will need to draw charts or graphs; additionally, thinking skills are needed for a lifetime, and by letting students devise their own plans and strategies in problem-solving, teachers are allowing them to improve these critical skills. Good problems like The Horse Problem are tasks that allow students to devise their own methods to solve them. They should not be presented with the strategy to solve them nor should they be told that there is a specific strategy to solve the problem, however, students should be required to explain their reasoning and logic once they believe they have solved the problem. Teachers should want their students to stretch their thinking and move toward understanding as math should be problematic as its nature suggests. After all, the single most important principle for improving the teaching of math is to allow math to be pragmatic for students.

UN Convention on the Assignment of Receivables Essay
UN Convention on the Assignment of Receivables - Essay Example It, most likely, is the uniform law convention with the greatest influence on the law of worldwide trans-border commerce, and in some countries lawyers and courts are today as familiar with the Convention as they are with their domestic law - it is the lingua franca of sales. Part of the success is or might be due to the simple requirements of application of the Convention, encoded in articles 1 to 6, which have become a model followed in other international conventions or draft conventions. They are simple in their basic structure, although not without some tricky details which require explanation. These application requirements will be the topic of this short introduction to the Convention.1 Article 1(1) (a) UN law for receivables requires only that the parties have their places of business in different contracting states that is states which have enacted the Convention. With 65 contracting states, now many sales contracts of U.K traders with foreign parties (for example in Australia, Asia, the United States or Europe) are governed by the Convention. Neither the nationality of the parties nor their qualification as merchants influences the application of the Convention, although consumer purchases are almost always excluded from the Convention. The parties' places of business in different states are, in other words, decisive, so that a U.K firm, having its relevant place of business in Australia, when concluding a contract with a firm in Wellington, might find its contract governed by the UN law for receivables. Also, the contract must be a "sale of goods", which normally does not pose problems, but there are borderline cases, with which I shall deal later, and an important extension to mixed contracts under article 3(2) of the UN law for receivables. Parties in Different States The predecessors of the UN law for receivables, the so-called Hague Sales Laws of 1964 - which were ratified by only nine states - used as the main requirement for application only that the parties were residing in different states, thus making it possible that parties from different states, which had not enacted the Uniform Sales Law, might have found their contract governed by this uniform law alien to both of them and to their countries. Therefore, this imperialistic claim of the old uniform sales laws was rejected in the preparation of the UN sales law, but not entirely.2 Article 1(1)(b) states that the UN law for receivables [page 782] is applicable, if the parties are situated in different states - which need not be contracting states, if the conflict of law rules of the forum lead to the application of the law of a contracting state. Thus, if there is a contract between a Japanese and an English trader subject - on account of a clause in the contract - to

The inpact of immigration on the construction industry Essay
The inpact of immigration on the construction industry - Essay Example Immigration will lead to increased population in a country and this leads to an increase in the demand for social amenities and this indirectly affects the construction industry. This paper discusses the effects of immigration workers in the UK who work with the construction industry, the construction industry in the United Kingdom has over 250 thousand firms and the industry employs over 2 million people, the paper analysis the effect of immigrant workers with reference to health, skills, communication and infrastructure. The construction industry in the UK is termed as the biggest industry because it employs over 2 million people, it is also termed as the most risky job because in the past 25 year over 2,500 people have died from accidents in construction work, further there has been reports of many illnesses and injuries caused in the work process. The construction industry has a large number of injuries and illnesses compared to other industries. This is because in the industry the workforce is exposed to more physical activities. The immigrant workers in the UK are mostly from Bulgaria and Romania, these immigrants work in the most dangerous tasks and for this reason they account for more injuries and deaths in the construction industry. The immigrants however have been considered to be beneficial to the economy in that they have reduced the tax burden of the natives. Immigrants have differing cultural and social background and this shapes their attitude and their expectations in the work place. The high levels of injuries and deaths of the immigrants in the workplace can be attributed to the following factors; The immigrants have little or no training regarding safety and health in the workplace, for this reason therefore there is an increased occurrence of injuries and deaths in the construction industry which employs most of these immigrants. The immigrant workers who work in the

Women 100 Years Ago and Women Today
Loftus 1 How Religion Has Affected My Life I've been going to church with my grandparents for as long as I can remember. I've always been a part of church related activities. We always said grace before we ate a meal. I said my prayers before I went to bed. I was baptized when I was born. I had my first communion. I was a very religious little kid and I always had God in my life. Of course, I only did all those things because I thought I was supposed to. I just thought it was something that everybody in the world did. But, as I got older I learned that it was all just a part of my religion.I also learned that not everyone had the same religion as I did. There were many different religions. There were even some people that didn't have a religion. Once I realized all of those things, I started asking questions. Why was I catholic? Why did I have to go to church every Sunday? Why is it so important? I asked my grandmother these questions and her only response was, ââ¬Å"It's because Je sus died on the cross for us. â⬠But I still had the question lingering in my head: Why? My mother and father never went to church with us. My mom would drop us off a religion classes but that was about it.When I asked my mom why she'd never gone to with us she had said, ââ¬Å"I don't believe that you have to go to church every Sunday to show your appreciation for God. â⬠That really had me thinking, if my mom and dad never went, did I really have to go? I certainly didn't like sitting in the cold for an hour listening to people singing terribly and other people talking about things I never understood. Always standing up and sitting down every couple of Loftus 2 minutes. It got very old, very fast. By the time I was a teenager, I got really tired of the same old thing. That's when it all started. At the age of thirteen all I wanted to do was hang out with my friends. They weren't the best of people but they accepted me and that's all I cared about. I started being more lik e them. Wearing all black, doing my make up really heavily, smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol, experimenting with drugs. I turned into the complete antithesis of the girl I was when I was younger. My family definitely started to notice. My mom and dad said it was just a phase but my grandmother thought I was starting to become a ââ¬Å"devil worshiperâ⬠. She orced me to go to church with them. I was forced to go to religion class. I got the you-need-Jesus-in-your-life talk every time I was around my grandma. That is when I really started to resent everything that had to do with my religion. My grandmother had pushed me to my breaking point. I didn't want anything to do with God or Jesus. When asked, I always told people I didn't have a religion. I was against it. I refused to go to church or religion class. I stopped saying grace before I ate. I stopped saying prayers before I went to sleep. I even stopped believing there was a God.This caused a lot of tension between my gra ndmother and I. We never saw eye to eye on anything. We were always arguing over something. She always told me that she never thought she'd have a granddaughter like me. She expected me to be more of a lady. I couldn't stand being around her. I didn't tell her anything. She had forced religion on me to the point that I didn't want to have a religion anymore. It even caused me to think I hated her. You could only imagine how much harder it got once my mom lost our house and we had to move into my grandparent's house.I got so angry when my mom told me the news. All I wanted to do was scream. The thought of having to see my grandma every single day was terrifying. My life had gotten significantly more tough Loftus 3 at that point. When we moved in, I stayed in my room all the time. If I wasn't in my room, I was either at school or out with my friends. When dinner was ready I ate with my head down. Not speaking to or looking at anyone. My mom caught on real quickly. I remember one night she pulled me into her bedroom after dinner and asked me why I was acting so strangely.I poured my heart out and told her everything I was going through. She told me, ââ¬Å"You need to stop hating your grandmother. She is getting older and her health is declining. She won't be here one day and you're going to regret not having a good relationship with her. You don't have to go to church every Sunday. You don't even need to go to religion class. You just need to respect the fact that your grandmother is just leading you by example. That's how she was raised. So, you need to stop getting angry at her and you need to start building a better relationship with her. That is the night that things got better. Every time I want to get angry with my grandma I remember what my mom told me and I haven't gotten angry with her since. I never got my faith back and there are still some things I can't tell my grandmother due to her being so religious. I would love to tell her that I'm engaged but, I can't because I'm a homosexual and I'm sure she'd disown me. But despite that, my grandmother and I are now on good terms. We talk on the phone more often since I moved away and I plan on visiting her whenever I make my trips back home.
